Aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is the largest warship to have been built in Britain, so large that the crew are to receive an app for their mobile phones to help them find their way around when on board.

The new 65,000 tonne carrier is currently in Rosyth dockyard, Scotland after being assembled and is due to be floated later this year.

The flight deck space of the Navy's biggest vessel is vast, the equivalent to over 60 tennis courts and is the first to bare the Queen's name.

Over 10,000 people are involved in the building of the 65,000-tonne Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier.

HMS Queen Elizabeth is due to begin sea trials in 2017 and flight trials from her deck using Lightning II fast jets in 2018.
